The exact time schedule may change depending on the number of registered squads. But, we will try our best to plan all matches on weekends or in the evening on workdays.

 

1.2. Rewards

1.2.1. Scoring Phase Rewards

You accrue rewards for each match you play during the tournament, with each game won by your team during the scoring phase (Best of 3) granting one reward.

1.2.2.5. House Squad Rewards

A house team(a team where all members belong to the same house on the same server at the time of signup) that makes it into the top 4, will be able to have their house name displayed in a different color in the House List (for a limited time).

1.2.3. Things to Note on Rewards

1.2.3.1. Seasonal Rewards

Items that change based on the season, such as Weapon Attire Selection Boxes and Attire Treasures, will be issued based on what season is running when the finals conclude. I.e., if the finals were to take place in the Highlanders season, a Highlanders Weapon Attire Selection Box would be rewarded. This does not affect the Champion squad's rewards.

1.2.3.2. Limited-time Rewards

Limited-time rewards such as frames and color changes for house names will remain valid until the Thursday of the week prior to the next tournament.

1.2.3.3. Cash Rewards

Should your team win a cash reward, we will contact your captain and confirm how to issue it. We will issue cash rewards to the captain, who may then distribute the rewards among the team's members.

*Teams shall bear taxes for all cash rewards earned during the tournament.

1.2.3.4. Issuance of In-game Rewards

In-game rewards will be issued to the character you signed up with (this cannot be changed later on). Server transfers will not affect the issuance of rewards. Rewards will be sent within 1-2 months after the tournament has ended.

1.2.3.4.1. Scoring Phase Reward Issuance

Scoring phase rewards will be issued after the scoring phase has ended. Rewards will be sent to players on the team roster when the signups concluded.

1.2.3.4.2. Knockout Stage Reward Issuance

Knockout stage rewards will be issued after the knockout stage has ended. Rewards will be sent to players on the team's knockout stage roster.

1.2.3.5. Reward Qualification

Teams who have their participation qualification revoked will not receive any rewards.

2. Qualification

2.1. Successful Signup

2.1.1. Your team must have at least 15 and no more than 20 members that meet the requirements.

2.1.2. A team with members that do not meet the requirements may still partake in the tournament as long as they have between 15-20 qualified members. However, the players that do not meet the requirements may not partake in the tournament.

2.1.3. Your team must have a name that follows the naming conventions. Check 6.3 for naming conventions.

2.2. Disqualification

A team or team member may not be allowed to participate or have their participation qualification revoked should any of the following occur:

2.2.1. Teams

2.2.1.1. The team does not meet the signup requirements.

2.2.1.2. The captain fails to click the Sign Up button before the signups conclude.

2.2.1.3. A team is found to have used a name that is in any form derogatory (after verification or being reported at a later stage).

2.2.1.4. If a team's member(s) make improper remarks, they will be penalized based on the severity of the violation, and may have tournament rewards deducted, their participation qualification revoked, or they may be banned from partaking in further tournaments or have their accounts banned.

2.2.1.5. If any member of a team is found to be, including but not limited to, using hacks or maliciously abusing game loopholes, their entire team will have their tournament participation qualification revoked.

2.2.1.6. A team will be unable to participate if a member has their qualification revoked (for any reason) and this leads to the team having less than 15 qualified members.

2.2.2. Players

2.2.2.1. The player does not meet the signup requirements.

2.2.2.2. If a player is found to be, including but not limited to, using hacks or maliciously abusing game loopholes, their tournament participation qualification will be revoked and their account will be banned. Their team will also have their participation qualification revoked.

2.2.2.3. If a player makes improper remarks on the tournament server or other tournament channels during the course of the tournament, they may have their participation qualification revoked.

2.2.2.4. If a player's account receives a ban during the course of the tournament, their participation qualification will be revoked. However, their team may still continue the tournament.

2.2.2.5. If a player is found to have entered the tournament on more than one character or enters the tournament on behalf of another.

2.2.2.5.1. If a player is found to have logged in to multiple characters on the tournament server, the players and squads of all related characters will have their participation qualification revoked.

3. General Rules

General rules apply to all tournament matches, including Siege Battles and Field Battles.

3.1. Tournament Accounts

3.1.1. The accounts of all contestants will have the same equipment and unit configurations.

3.1.2. No unit will be able to use doctrines during the tournament.

3.1.3. Heroes may not use runes during the tournament.

3.1.4. Contestants may only use artilleries of rare quality, and there will be a limit to the number of artilleries each player may use depending on the mode being played.

3.2. Match Modes

3.2.1. Siege Battles

3.2.1.1. 15 players on each team. (10 each on Linwu Fortress and 12 each on Quinn Ruins).

3.2.1.2. Each player may respawn two times, and dying for the third time is final.

3.2.1.3. Each player on the attacking side may bring and deploy 2 pieces of rare-quality artillery.

3.2.1.4. Each player on the defending side may bring and deploy 1 piece of rare-quality artillery.

3.2.1.5. Doctrines and unit attires will be banned during the tournament.

3.2.1.6. Victory Conditions

3.2.1.6.1. The attacker must occupy certain flags before the time runs out.

3.2.1.6.2. The defender must defend their flags until the time runs out.

3.2.2. Field Battles (Capture the Flag)

3.2.2.1. 15 players on each side.

3.2.2.2. Each player may respawn two times, and dying for the third time is final.

3.2.2.3. Players from both the attacking and defending side may bring and deploy 1 piece of rare-quality artillery.

3.2.2.4. Doctrines and unit attires will be banned during the tournament.

3.2.2.5. Victory Conditions:

3.2.2.5.1. Fully capturing the flag within the enemy's base.

3.2.2.5.2. Should the time run out before either side has captured their enemy's base flag, the side whose base has the most health remaining wins.

3.2.2.5.3. Should the time run out while both bases are at 100% health, the side that has managed to occupy the most neutral points win.

3.2.2.5.4. Should the time run out while both bases are at 100% health and both sides have occupied an equal number of neutral points, the match is a draw and an extra match will be played.

3.3. Game Version

3.3.1. The live version will be used.

3.3.2. Balance changes made during the tournament will also apply to tournament matches.

3.3.3. The game's content will continue to be updated during the tournament.

3.3.3.1. New units and heroes added to the game during the course of the tournament will not be available for use right away.

We might make new units and heroes available for use in the tournament after they have been available on the live servers for more than 2 weeks. We will issue a notice if a new unit or hero becomes available in the tournament.

By 'during the course of the tournament' we mean from the tournament's first match until after the finals.

3.3.3.2. New maps added to the game during the course of the tournament will not be available for use right away.

We might make new maps available for use in the tournament after they have been available on the live servers for more than 2 weeks. We will issue a notice if a new map becomes available in the tournament.

4. Scoring Phase

4.1. Rules

4.1.1. Squads will be grouped based on the signups to the scoring phase.

4.1.2. The scoring phase is made up of four rounds: Each team will be pitted against four random opponents of their group, and with no recurring opponents.

4.1.3. Games will be played as Best of 3. The first 2 matches will be played as Siege Battles (on the same map). The attacker and defender are randomized for the first match, with the two teams changing position for the second match. Should the two teams be tied after these 2 matches a Field Battle will be played. Should that match also end in a tie, more extra matches will be played on the same Field Battle map until one team wins.

4.1.4. Map Selection

4.1.4.1. The tournament host decides the map pool for the scoring phase. Field Battles will be played on Grassland Assault.

4.1.4.2. The two teams both roll a random number. The team getting the biggest number wins, and can select a map (the two Siege Battles will be played on the same map).

4.1.4.3. We will announce the Scoring Phase's map pool during signups.

4.1.4.4. Map Selection Time: We will issue a link for map selection at 18:00-18:10 (UTC+8) the day before the match. You can choose maps between 18:10-18:30 (UTC+8). We will notify related parties regarding the exact time of map selections. Any squad that is three or more minutes late is seen to have waived their rights to select a map.

4.1.4.4.1. Teams shall bear all responsibilities for not being able to select a map due to network issues on their part.

4.1.5. Attack/Defend Order

Who attacks or defends on the first Siege Battle of each match is randomized. The two teams switch sides for the second match. Sides are once again randomized for the extra Field Battle match. For each subsequent Field Battle match (if any) the two teams will switch sides.

4.2. Scoring

4.2.1. Each team starts with 5 points.

4.2.2. Winning a game with 2:0 grants 2 points.

4.2.3. Winning a game with 2:1 grants 2 points.

4.2.4. 1 point is deducted for games lost by 0:2.

4.2.5. 0.5 points are deducted for games lost by 1:2.

4.2.6. In-Group Same Rank

4.2.6.1. For teams with an equal rank, the team with the most matches won is ranked higher.

4.2.6.2. If multiple teams have won an equal number of matches, the team with the highest match win% is ranked higher.

4.2.6.3. If multiple teams have won an equal number of matches and have the same match win%, a drawing will take place among all these teams and single-elimination games will be played to decide who gets promoted.

4.2.6.3.1. Extra Match Map Selection

Extra matches will be played on Grassland Assault. Should that match also end in a tie, more extra matches will be played on the same map until one team wins.

4.3. Scoring Phase Promotion

4.3.1. 16 Teams will be promoted during the scoring phase. The number of entrant squads is decided based on the number of signups in the China’s Mainland Division and Asia Division. The tournament host reserves the right to change the number of entrant teams.

4.3.2. Divisions and the entrant quota for each will be decided by the tournament host.

4.3.3. If multiple teams have the same rank, rules from 4.2.6 apply.

4.3.4. Promotion Quota for Next Season's Scoring Phase

4.3.4.1. The promotion quota will be decided based on the number of signups in the China’s Mainland Division and Asia Division. Based on the division of the previous champion, 1 quota will be added to one division and 1 removed from the other. For example: if a team from the Asia Division won the previous tournament, then 1 extra team may participate in the Asia Division's knockout stage, and 1 less team may participate in the China’s Mailand Division's knockout stage.

4.3.4.2. As the CBL 2022 Summer Tournament was held within divisions only, the outcome will not affect the number of entrants in the CBL 2022 Winter Tournament or future tournaments.

4.4. Waiving Games

4.4.1. The team waiving a game will be considered to have lost by 0:2 and will have 1 point deducted.

4.5. Participants are responsible for their own network connection and devices during the tournament.

5. Knockout Stage

5.1. Rules

5.1.1. These games will be played as double elimination, meaning that a team is eliminated after losing two matches.

5.1.2. Matchings are decided based on open draws.

5.1.3. Games will be played as Best of 3. The first 2 matches will be played as Siege Battles. Should the two teams be tied after these 2 matches a Field Battle will be played. Should that match also end in a tie, more extra matches will be played on the same Field Battle map until one team wins.

5.1.4. Games for the Winner's Bracket and Loser's Bracket will be played as Best of 5. 4 matches will be played as Siege Battles with the teams switching sides after each match. Should the score be 2:2 after these 4 matches, a Field Battle will be played. Should that match also end in a tie, more extra matches will be played on the same Field Battle map until one squad wins.

5.1.5. The winner of the Winner's Bracket finals will start with an advantage (starting with a score of 1:0) and will start as the attacker in the first match. The finals will be played as Best of 7. 6 matches will be played as Siege Battles with the teams switching sides after each match. The tournament host decides the map for the first 2 matches.

5.1.6. Map Selection & Attack/Defend Order

The two teams must ban and pick within the allotted time frame. If the ban and pick do not start within that time, a map will be randomized.

5.1.6.1. Knockout Stage Ban & Pick Times

 Ban and pick starts at 19:50 (UTC+8) for matches starting at 20:00 (UTC+8). Any squad that is three or more minutes late is seen to have waived their rights to select ban and pick maps and units.

 Ban and pick starts at 20:50 (UTC+8) for matches starting at 21:00 (UTC+8). Any team that is three or more minutes late is seen to have waived their rights to select ban and pick maps and units.

5.1.6.2. Teams shall bear all responsibilities for not being able to participate in banning and picking due to network issues on their part.

-Attacker/Defender Rules: The two teams both roll a random number. The team getting the biggest number wins and gets to attack in the first match. The sides are then switched for match two.

-Map Ban & Pick:

i. The team who lost bans the first map.

ii. And then the other team bans one map.

iii. After this, each team chooses which map they will act as the attacker on. Both squads may choose the same map.

5.1.7. Unit Ban & Pick

The banning and picking of units start after the map selection has been finalized. Units already picked cannot be banned. Failing to ban or pick within the allotted time will mean that no unit is banned or picked for that choice.

-Unit Ban & Pick:

i. The team that won bans the first two units.

ii. The losing team bans two units.

iii. The losing team selects one unit.

iv. The winning team bans one unit.

v. The winning team selects one unit.

vi. The losing team bans one unit.

5.2. Roster Changes

5.2.1. Teams that enter the knockout stage can change their roster. Rosters can only be changed during the time as notified by the tournament host.

5.2.2. Notes on Roster Changes

5.2.2.1. Team members that have not participated in the tournament may be added to the roster.

5.2.2.2. Members of already eliminated teams in the same division may be added to the roster.

5.2.2.3. Members of other divisions cannot be added to the roster.

5.2.2.4. Members that have been disqualified in the ongoing tournament cannot be added to the roster.

5.3. Participants are responsible for their own network connection and devices during the tournament.

6. Additional Info

6.1. Cross-server Teams

Only teams from the LA, JC, DI and SG servers may create cross-server teams. Be sure to participate in the tournament with the character you want to receive the rewards on. That character must be level 100 or higher.

6.2. Violations

6.2.1. Players on Live Servers

If a tournament contestant violates any of the game's regulations on the live servers and that violation leads to their account being banned, they will have their participation qualification for this tournament revoked (this does not affect their team). If a team still has 15 qualified members after this, the contestant's team may still participate.

6.2.2. Players During Tournament

6.2.2.1. Cheating

Any contestant found to have in any way used improper methods (including but not limited to: malicious use of bugs and third-party software) to gain an unfair advantage will be considered to lose that match, and their team will have their participation qualification for the tournament revoked.

6.2.2.2. Other Violations

A contestant found to, including but not limited to, verbally abuse others or behave in an uncivilized manner during the tournament may have their participation qualification revoked or have points deducted from their squad based on the circumstances.

6.2.3. Teams During Tournament

6.2.3.1. Punctuality

Teams should be available for matches on time. If a team is late, CBL reserves the right to penalize the squad based on the situation.

6.2.3.2. Obstructive Conduct

Intentionally avoiding to attack or other actions aimed at delaying time. Judges have the right to deem a match over and disqualify a squad should such actions occur, as well as exact additional penalties.

6.2.4. Dealing with Violations

Teams or players that are found to have been cheating will have their tournament participation qualification revoked and will not receive any tournament rewards.

6.3. Naming Conventions

6.3.1. Squads

6.3.1.1. Choose a squad name containing between 4-32 English characters.

6.3.1.2. Choose a squad abbreviation of no more than 4 English characters.

6.3.1.3. Names may not contain derogatory or insulting content. If so, the squad will have their participation qualification revoked.

6.3.1.4. CBL reserves the right to alter the name or abbreviation of a squad if needed.

6.3.2. Players

6.3.2.1. Your name in the tournament will be identical to the name of the character you signed up with. There are no restrictions apart from the following: Names may not contain derogatory or insulting content. If it does, the player will have their participation qualification revoked.

6.3.2.2. CBL reserves the right to alter the name of a player if needed.

6.4. House Teams

6.4.1. A team will be considered a house team if all members on their roster are from the same house on the same server. These teams will receive House Team rewards.

6.4.2. Whether a team is a house team is based on its roster when the signups conclude. Roster changes after the signups conclude won't affect this.

6.5. The roster cannot be changed in any way after the signups conclude. I.e., the roster as it stands when the signups conclude will be that team's tournament roster.

6.6. Server Transfers

Transferring servers during the tournament will not affect your participation or the issuance of tournament rewards.

6.7. Tournament Live-streams

6.7.1. Tournament Broadcasting

We allow the CBL tournament to be broadcasted. We will also take requests for tournament streaming during the Knockout Stage.

6.7.2. Live Streams by Contestants

Contestants may stream their own matches. However, we recommend adding a delay to your stream so that your opponents cannot use this against you.

7. CBL & Conqueror's Blade Tournaments

7.1. CBL and related tournaments are played in the China’s Mainland Division, Asia Division and South America Division. Penalty regulations are the same for all three divisions.

8. Final Interpretation Rights

The final interpretation right of Conqueror's Blade League and related Conqueror's Blade tournaments belongs to Poros.
