MAR 30 UPDATE LOG
03/29/2023

Hello, Warlords!

We will update the game during our maintenance on March 30th, which will last for 3 hours and run between 12:30-15:30 (UTC+8). After the maintenance we will give all players 8,000 Bronze Coins, 300 Honor, and 15 Unit Medals as compensation for any inconvenience caused. Be sure to arrange your time accordingly.

The update will contain the following:

I. New Event Mode [Pursuit Nightmare]

There's a prison in Conqueror's City which houses the most dangerous criminals of the land. Above it, a hole-like thing has appeared in the sky. The inmates were somehow affected and went into a rage, wounding the warden and escaping. The City Council issued a call to arms as soon as they got wind of this.

1. Basic Rules:

This is an asymmetrical mode without units where Warlords split into two factions—[Inmates] and [Wardens].

Each faction uses different skills and traits. The numerous [Inmates] are equipped with dual blades, agile yet unable to withstand many blows. The few but powerful [Wardens] wear Chain Dart & Scimitars and can use ejectors.

Skill numbers are unique for this mode. Plus, you are immune to fall stagger and damage.

2. Win Conditions:

[Inmates]: Must open enough Troves to claim victory.

[Wardens]: Must defeat and lock up enough [Inmates] to claim victory.

The [Wardens] win should the time run out.

3. Factions:

3.1. Inmates

The inmates, having gone enraged due to the hole in the sky, must avoid the wardens as they scour the area for key fragments hidden in troves with which they can escape.

[Inmates] cannot effectively damage the Wardens. They must therefore use their mobility skills to escape pursuit and ultimately achieve victory by escaping.

Base Abilities:

○ Weapon: Dual Blades

○ Base Skills: Deity's Footsteps, Alchemical Vapours, Liquid Fire

3.2. Wardens

The Auctioneers are conscripting Warlords to quell the prison riot. Forming up in groups of three, these [Wardens] must find and imprison the escaping [Inmates].

[Wardens] have increased damage and defense. To capture the escapees and attain victory, they must capitalize on their offensive power and make the most out of [Trap Prey].

Base Abilities:

○ Weapon: Chain Dart & Scimitar

○ Base Skills: Leap and Slash, Trap Prey, Slow Trap, Animal Trap

Special Skills:

○ Slow Trap: Deploys caltrops in a large area that slows and damages enemies within for a certain duration.

○ Animal Trap: Places an animal trap invisible to enemies that takes effect after a few seconds. Enemies that run into it become Concussed for a spell.

4. Map Mechanics:

4.1 Grand Troves:

Grand Troves will spawn at random locations. These can only be opened by the [Inmates]. To win, the [Inmates] must open enough troves.

4.2. Trophies:

Trophies will spawn at random locations and can only be picked up by [Inmates]. Picking up a trophy enables you to use an extra skill. Extra skills you attain replace the ones you already have. You can find the following skills:

○ Quick Escape: Leap backward and deploy caltrops in a small area. The skill removes Dazed, Knocked Down and Concussed effects.

○ Hide: Becomes invisible for an extended period of time.

○ Great Thunderbolt: Throw a thunderbolt bomb that momentarily Concusses any enemy hit.

4.3. Prison:

Capture: Defeated [Inmates] respawn within a locked cage. Inmates that respawn will get a new weapon and skills and cannot be defeated.

Once imprisoned:

○ Weapon: Bow

○ Replaced Skills: Deploy Caltrops, Liquid Fire

○ New Trait - [Unrest]: Hitting an enemy with 3 basic attacks within a short window of time momentarily Concusses them.

Rescuing Allies: Imprisoned inmates cannot escape on their own. Their allies can spring them from their cage, however, whereupon they regain their past weapons and skills.

These cages are marked differently based on their status. Keep an eye on these markers to better adapt to the situation at hand.

4.4. Rope Poles:

The map features plenty of rope poles which [Wardens] can use to quickly traverse the map using their [Trap Prey] skill. [Trap Prey]'s cooldown is greatly reduced when used against rope poles.

IV. OTHER CHANGES

1. Maul Hero Changes

The maul is a heavy weapon and in the current meta, it is effective at breaking the enemy's lines and dealing with grouped-up enemies, all the while still having high burst potential. All in all, its incredibly burst exceeds our expectations and so we are nerfing the burst of its skill combos while boosting its damage output against grouped-up enemies.

• Lowest damage of all skills (except for [Ground Smash]) increased to 28% (was 25%). [Ground Smash] still retains its 40%.

• Damage of skills chained after [Rockslide Smash] and [Mighty Mjölnir] now deal 26% less damage (was 20%).

• [Ground Smash]'s damage reduced by 11%.

• [Bonebreaker] no longer has extra armor penetration.

• [Strike and Grapple]'s cooldown changed from 55/50/45 to 59/57/55 on tiers I, II and III.

2. Yanyuedao Cavalry Changes

• Improved the AI logic of [Dread Unleashed], improving its attack prediction and accuracy, and reducing its dispeasing range after attacking an enemy.

• [Dread Unleashed] now deals an additional 230 base slash damage when fully charged, and its damage increase effect lasts for an additional 1.5 seconds.

• Fixed an issue with [Yanyuedao Cavalry: Martial] where it would lose an attack target when dealing double damage.

3. Bug Fixes & Other Changes

• Fixed an issue where the damage reduction and damage increase effects added to Chivalric units only triggered after a successful block.

• Adjusted the quality of Daily Free Pack to rare.

• Fixed an issue where the hero model wasn't shown on the world map when wearing the Lord of the Sands attire.

• Defender units now retreat to the correct position on [Valley Fortress].

• Corrected the defenders' camp respawn point on [Valley Fortress (Ranked Battle)].

• Increase the suggested price cap of Vault Key in the Market to 20,000 (was 5,000).
