Dev Log: Myth Made Manifest — "Oracle of Nyx" Design Reveal11/20/2025
By: Shroomie (Conqueror's Blade Art Team)
To Conqueror's Blade's Warlords worldwide:
Greetings!

For many Warlords across our global community, this may be our first "official" meeting. I'm "Shroomie" (Little Mushroom), one of the representatives of the Conqueror's Blade art team. My role is to ensure your passion, feedback, and wishes are heard clearly by the dev team—and I'm also delighted to share our thoughts on art and design here.

Today, I bring a special piece into which our team has poured a great deal of heart. We are proud to unveil Conqueror's Blade's first Mount Attire featuring bold wing visual effects: [Oracle of Nyx].
Source of Inspiration: Why "Nyx"?
In Conqueror's Blade, we have always striven to draw from true history and enduring legend. When the team chose to attempt our first-ever wing visual effects, we turned at once to the oldest and most formidable mythic pantheons.
Our gaze finally settled upon a primordial deity of Greek myth: Nyx.

As Shroomie learned from historical tales, Nyx is the embodiment of Night. Exalted in station, she arose from Chaos, and is the mother of Thanatos (Death) and Hypnos (Sleep). Her power is such that even Zeus, king of the gods, "held her in dread."
In ancient verse, Nyx is often portrayed as a "winged goddess," or "crowned with an aureole of dark mists," driving her chariot across the sky.

— That was our answer. We did not wish for a pair of "physical" wings; we sought the manifest form of the goddess Nyx's might.

Myth "Descends": Our Story
Based on this mythic foundation, our artists shaped a tale for Conqueror's Blade:
A knight in riven mail kept watch beside a broken redoubt. Though the order to withdraw had been given, he still raised his lantern to guide the wounded to safety. As the enemy drew near, he whispered a prayer amid the blood-soaked earth. From the firmament of night, the goddess looked down and heard the ancient cadence in his words. She unfurled sable pinions, and with an onyx diadem and a cloak of netherflame, bestowed upon his Mount the "Oracle of Nyx."The wind turned and circled back; the enemy's drums dimmed within the shadows. The knight took up the reins once more, hoofbeats striking the measure of the night. Wings like obsidian greatblades swept wide, their edges flaring gold—as if a thousand keen swords were rending the enemy line.

From Myth to Design: Meticulous Details
This tale became our blueprint. We wove mythic research into every visual element:
-
Soul Core: Umbral Wing visual effects
-
These wings are the heart of the design. They are not physical feathers, but a manifestation of "umbra," echoing Nyx's veil of dark mist. When the Mount gallops or charges, the wings unfurl fully, revealing a sacred might.

-
-
Obsidian Gold Gleam (Wing Tips & Hooves)
-
The Mount's primary hue is deep obsidian, evoking Nyx's night. Yet along the wing edges and hooves, a holy gold flares.
-
This is no idle pairing. In myth, Nyx (Night) also bore "Aether" (Bright Upper Sky) and "Hemera" (Day). That gold is the keen light born at the margin of Night—stars, and the power that rends enemy ranks.
-

-
-
Horn of the Oracle (Headpiece)
-
We forged a black-and-gold horn for the Mount. It is more than ornament; it marks the steed as the vessel of the "Oracle," a conduit for the goddess's power.

-
-
Netherflame Shroud (Saddle & Reins)
-
The crimson war-cloak over the saddle we call "Netherflame." It mirrors the bloodied ground of our tale and honors Nyx's domain—she and her children (e.g., the god of death) are bound to deeper realms. The torn edging speaks of battle just endured, while the gilded chain reins proclaim its god-gifted stature.

Shroomie's Little Sign-off
[Oracle of Nyx] Mount Attire is now live in [Attire Chests] following today's update.
We hope, Warlords, that as you charge across the battlefield, you feel this ancient power drawn from myth.
Thank you for reading—we look forward to seeing your valor on the field.
